Go Organic !

The most impressive thing about Punjab is surely their food. There are many chicken lovers in Delhi than God lovers (No offence). We Delhiites can never get enough of that Punjabi butter chicken, chicken korma, Bhatti ka murgh, even their vegetarian is equally delightful dal makhani, sarso da saag, aloo ke parathe and of course everybody loves chole bhature. Its always been about those homemade spices from Punjab and that extra butter on the top.

But Does it always take tangier spices for a dish to be delicious! After visiting the Punjab grill in select CityWalk mall, Saket, I wouldn't completely agree to it. They have a whole new organic menu, which is way healthier and doesn't have any preservatives. and lots of greenies in our lunch wouldn't harm our appetite.
This restaurant was opened 10 years back and have several branches across NCR. The interiors are really breathtaking with all kind of sitting arrangements, for a family dinner, lunch with colleges or a kitty party.

I am gonna list down the pretty things I loved about this restaurant which would definitely gonna convince you to plan your dinner there, ditch butter chicken this time and go organic!

Chaat sampler: If you are going to a Punjabi themed restaurant and not having their chaat, you are missing something really good in your meal. The chaat sampler I had at Punjab grill included palak patta topped with tangy sauces and hot spices, Makki Vala Doda, jawar aur bajra chaat and microgreens. the whole package of savoury and green vegetables made it the perfect starter for the evening.

Tandoori broccoli: Sounds cool, no? The right amount of spices grilled in a perfect temperature is all tandoori dish is about. But, unlike other restaurants, The Punjab grill is serving a dish named tandoori broccoli, broccoli coated with white sauce, grilled in spices was the best version of health combined with spices I ever tasted. it is served with sorted fresh green vegetables which complete its essence.

Chukunder ki Tikki: Who doesn't love deep fried Tikki with green chutney, sided with onions. I crave street side fried food all the time, deeply fried aloo ki Tikki with lots of red and green chutney. if you are one of me, this street food twist is for you. Chukunder ki Tikki served here tastes the same and helps you stay away from those extra calories as well. I thought It was a bit overpriced but worth a try!

Paneer tikka Multani: Multani paneer tikka is loved throughout India for its faded and twisty taste. Who would serve a better Multani paneer tikka than a Punjabi restaurant?  Tandoor grilled cottage cheese, herbs, batter-coated and crisp is the best paneer tikka but only when you are a Multani paneer fan. it was also one of the recommendations by the chef himself and I don't regret trying it.

I would also like to mention some other great things about the restaurant which would help you make a great order and your visit a delight!

Murgh Tikka Punjab Grill: This was one of the special items of the restaurant suggested by the head chef himself. first of all the presentation was very good and gotta agree the best chicken I ever had. they had the perfect balance of quantity which was enough was two people and the quality of the chicken. It was juicy, tangy and sweet at the same time.

Mouth freshener: A special paan bahar shot is provided at end of your meal which is basically a blend of Milk, Paan leaves, Gulkand, Dilkhush chutney, Vanilla ice cream and ice together, served in a petty quantity to give pleasures of all the flavors in your mouth and complete your meal on a sweet note.
Do visit THE PUNJAB GRILL, Saket to experience best Punjabi food in town and also give a shot to their new organic menu and thank me LATER!
